SDS-PAGE analysis of GM-1E7 The antibody was purified by protein G affinity chromatography from cell culture supernatants and verified by SDS-Page (Fig.4). Fig.4: SDS-PAGE analysis of purified GM-1E7 monoclonal antibody. Lane 1: molecular weight marker, Lane 2: 2 ug of purified GM-1E7 antibody. Proteins were separated by SDS-PAGE and stained with RAPID StainTM Reagent.

mammalian cells. Immunogen: cDNA
products description :
Description: Purified monoclonal mouse anitbody . Background: Interleukin 13 (IL-13) is a T cell derived cytokine involved in the regulation of inflammatory and immune responses. IL-13Ralpa1 together with IL-4Ralpa forms a functional receptor for both IL-4 and IL-13, which is why these two cytokines share many of their biological activities. The receptor is found on human B cells, monocytes and endothelial cells. However, no functional receptor is expressed on T cells, which explains why IL-13, in contrast to IL-4, fails to induce TH2-cell differentiation.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of the interleukin 13 receptor. This subunit forms a receptor complex with IL4 receptor alpha, a subunit shared by IL13 and IL4 receptors. This subunit serves as a primary IL13-binding subunit of the IL13 receptor, and may also be a component of IL4 receptors. This protein has been shown to bind tyrosine kinase TYK2, and thus may mediate the signaling processes that lead to the activation of JAK1, STAT3 and STAT6 induced by IL13 and IL4. uniprot summary :
IL13R: Binds with low affinity to interleukin-13 (IL13). Together with IL4RA can form a functional receptor for IL13. Also serves as an alternate accessory protein to the common cytokine receptor gamma chain for interleukin-4 (IL4) signaling, but cannot replace the function of IL2RG in allowing enhanced interleukin-2 (IL2) binding activity. Belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Type 5 subfamily. Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, cytokine. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xq24. Cellular Component: interleukin-13 receptor complex; plasma membrane. Molecular Function: protein binding; interleukin-13 receptor activity. Biological Process: positive regulation of immunoglobulin production; cell surface receptor linked signal transduction; positive regulation of B cell proliferation
