products description :
Intended Uses: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for the in vitro quantitative measurement of CYPA in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to CYPA. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to CYPA. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain CYPA, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of CYPA in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a member of the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) family. PPIases catalyze the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and accelerate the folding of proteins. The encoded protein is a cyclosporin binding-protein and may play a role in cyclosporin A-mediated immunosuppression. The protein can also interact with several HIV proteins, including p55 gag, Vpr, and capsid protein, and has been shown to be necessary for the formation of infectious HIV virions. Multiple pseudogenes that map to different chromosomes have been reported. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
