products description :
Description: Anti-M2 (A/northern shoverl/Mississippi/11OS145/2011)(H7N9) rabbit polyclonal antibody. Introduction: The M2 protein (matrix protein 2) is a proton-selective ion channel protein, the third integral membrane protein, of the influenza A virus. The channel itself is a homotetramer that consists of four identical M2 units. With the N-terminal methionine removed, the remaining N-terminal 23-amino acid sequence of M2 is known as M2 ectodomain (M2e). M2e is highly conserved in both human and avian influenza A viruses. It is widely used as a promising candidate target for developing a valid and versatile vaccine against all strains of human influenza A virus.
