concentration :
100ug specific antibody in 200ul
storage stability :
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Minimize freezing and thawing.
tested application :
Peptide ELISA (EIA)
app notes :
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 64000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave bands at approx. 40kDa and 15kDa in Mouse Skeletal Muscle lysates after 0. 01ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given the calculated size of 27.2kDa according to NP_034909.2. Both detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain the additional bands).
other info1 :
Immunogen: Peptide with sequence C-KLQKKAKETPSVN, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_034909.2. Epitope: Internal region

uniprot summary :
Mcpt4: Has chymotrypsin-like activity. Hydrolyzes the amide bonds of synthetic substrates having Tyr and Phe residues at the P1 position. Preferentially hydrolyzes the 'Tyr-4- -Ile-5' bond of angiotensin I and the 'Phe-20- -Ala-21' bond of amyloid beta- protein, and is less active towards the 'Phe-8- -His-9' bond of angiotensin I and the 'Phe-4- -Ala-5' and 'Tyr-10- -Glu-11' bonds of amyloid beta-protein. Involved in thrombin regulation and fibronectin processing. Belongs to the peptidase S1 family. Granzyme subfamily. Protein type: EC 3.4.21.-; Protease. Cellular Component: cytoplasm; intracellular; intracellular membrane-bound organelle. Molecular Function: hydrolase activity; peptidase activity; serine-type endopeptidase activity; serine-type peptidase activity. Biological Process: immune response; protein processing; proteolysis; regulation of angiotensin levels in blood
