purity :
Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide
form :
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
concentration :
100ug specific antibody in 200ul
storage stability :
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Minimize freezing and thawing.
tested application :
Peptide ELISA (EIA)
app notes :
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 35kDa band in Human Kidney and Liver lysates after 0.03ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 54.0kDa according to NP_000151.1. The 35kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32000.
other info1 :
Epitope: Internal Region (Near the C Terminus). Immunogen: Peptide with sequence C-HGPPSKELQFGR, from the internal region (near the C Terminus) of the protein sequence according to NP_000151.1.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is a glucagon receptor that is important in controlling blood glucose levels. Defects in this gene are a cause of non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM).[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2010]
