Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 1000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 35kDa band in lysates of cell line NIH3T3 after 0.1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 57.5kDa according to NP_067013.1. The 35kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

The protein encoded by this gene binds to intronic polypyrimidine clusters in pre-mRNA molecules and is implicated in controlling the assembly of other splicing-regulatory proteins. This protein is very similar to the polypyrimidine tract binding protein (PTB) but most of its isoforms are expressed primarily in the brain.
