app notes :
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 32000. Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Pancreas shows staining of the islets of Langerhans. Recommended concentration, 4-6ug/ml. Western Blot: Approx.75kDa band observed in purified membranes of Rat insulinoma cell line RIN14B (calculated MW of 48.4kDa according to NP_033957.1). Data were published by El-Kouhen K and Morisset J, Int J Endocrinol.2009;2009: 875167; PMID: 20011057. The observed molecular weight also corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Morisset et al J Histochem Cytochem.2003 Nov;51(11): 1501-13; PMID: 14566022). Data obtained from antibodies from a previous goat. Recommended concentration: 0.1-0.3ug/ml. Immunocytochemsitry/Immunofluorescence: This antibody has been successfully used in ICC/IF for RIN-14B cells as described in the following paper: El-Kouhen et al, Pancreas.2010 Mar;39(2): 127-34, PMID: 19959964 and for rat pancreatic stellate cells as described in: Berna et al, J Biol Chem. 2010 Dec 10;285(50):38905-14, PMID: 20843811. Data obtained from antibodies from a previous goat.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a G-protein coupled receptor for gastrin and cholecystokinin (CCK), regulatory peptides of the brain and gastrointestinal tract. This protein is a type B gastrin receptor, which has a high affinity for both sulfated and nonsulfated CCK analogs and is found principally in the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A misspliced transcript variant including an intron has been observed in cells from colorectal and pancreatic tumors. uniprot summary :
CCKBR: Receptor for gastrin and cholecystokinin. The CKK-B receptors occur throughout the central nervous system where they modulate anxiety, analgesia, arousal, and neuroleptic activity. This receptor mediates its action by association with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Receptor, GPCR; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11p15.4. Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane. Molecular Function: 1-phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase regulator activity; cholecystokinin receptor activity; gastrin receptor activity; phosphoinositide phospholipase C activity; protein binding; type B gastrin/cholecystokinin receptor binding. Biological Process: cell proliferation; cell surface receptor linked signal transduction; digestion; elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; feeding behavior; G-protein signaling, coupled to IP3 second messenger (phospholipase C activating); gastric acid secretion; gland development; gut development; positive regulation of cell proliferation; regulation of phosphoinositide 3-kinase activity; sensory perception
