CNENFKKTFKRILH
purity :
Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide
form :
Supplied at 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
concentration :
100ug specific antibody in 200ul
storage stability :
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Minimize freezing and thawing.
tested application :
Peptide ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB)
app notes :
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Colon shows membranous staining. Recommended concentration, 4-6ug/ml. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave bands at approx 55kDa and 37kDa in Human Duodenum lysate after 0.3ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the 37kDa band we observe given the calculated size of 55.8kDa according to NP_000852.1. Both detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain the additional band). Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32000.

ncbi summary :
Histamine is a ubiquitous messenger molecule released from mast cells, enterochromaffin-like cells, and neurons. Its various actions are mediated by histamine receptors H1, H2, H3 and H4. This gene was thought to be intronless until recently. The protein encoded by this gene is an integral membrane protein and belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. It mediates the contraction of smooth muscles, the increase in capillary permeability due to contraction of terminal venules, the release of catecholamine from adrenal medulla, and neurotransmission in the central nervous system. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
