Western Blot: Approx 48kDa band observed in lysates of cell lines Daudi and Jurkat (calculated MW of 44.2kDa according to NP_057353.1). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Yasumoto et al, EMBO J. 2002 Jun 3;21(11):2703-14.; PMID: 12032083). The same band was also observed in Mouse and Rat Spleen lysates. Recommended concentration: 1-3ug/ml. Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32000.

This gene encodes a transcription factor belonging to a family of proteins that share homology with the high mobility group protein-1. The protein encoded by this gene can bind to a functionally important site in the T-cell receptor-alpha enhancer, thereby conferring maximal enhancer activity. This transcription factor is involved in the Wnt signaling pathway, and it may function in hair cell differentiation and follicle morphogenesis. Mutations in this gene have been found in somatic sebaceous tumors. This gene has also been linked to other cancers, including androgen-independent prostate cancer.
