For Monoclonal antibody production from cell culture or ascites, to avoid the fetal calf serum contamination. Generally the purification of the mouse antibody from the cell culture supernatant using Protein A/G systems may result in contamination with bovine IgG. Anti-mouse IgG agarose is the mouse IgG-specific affinity matrix that could selectively purify mouse IgG from mouse serum, both ascites and the supernatant of the cell culture media, without pulling-down bovine IgG. This anti-mouse JgG agarose is prepared using antigen-specific affinity purified anti-mouse IgG as the immobilized antibodies. More than 20 mg of pure anti-mouse IgG was covalently immobilized onto the agarose beads via a highly stable thiol-ether bond. This product has been successfully used to replace Protein A/Ci agarose for more specific affinity purification of mouse IgG with high binding capacity (> 10 mg/mL).
