products full name :
C. trachomatis LGV Type-2 EB
products short name :
Chlamydia trachomatis LGV Type-2 (Strain 434) Elementary Bodies
products name syn :
Chlamydia trachomatis LGV Type 2, Elementary bodies (EB)
host :
Mouse L cells. Chlamydia trachomatis LGV type II. Strain: 434
specificity :
Chlamydia trachomatis LGV Type-2 (Strain 434) Elementary Bodies
purity :
Mouse L cells are infected with C. trachomatis elementary bodies. Optimally infected cells are harvested and disrupted by sonication in PBS. Cellular debris is removed using centrifugation.
concentration :
4.9 mg/ml (dye binding microassay) (minimum concentration 1mg/ml). Titer is controlled lot-to-lot by ELISA IgG reactivity.
storage stability :
Store at < -70 degree C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
app notes :
Should be sonicated immediately prior to use to ensure that the preparation is uniform. Used for both IgG and IgM detection in assays which include EIA with polystyrene and latex solid phases and M capture formats. Each laboratory should determine an opti
other info1 :
Inactivation: Inactivated using famma radiation. Effective primarily by damaging chlamydial genetic material. Effectiveness of inactivation is tested by inoculating an L cell monolayer with antigen. The culture is manipulated using the original optimal culture conditions used to manufacture the antigen. The culture is monitored for cytopathic effect for 5 days. If no signs of infection are observed the culture is passaged into a fresh monolayer. The second passage is monitored for a further 5 day period. If no cytopathic effect is observed in either passage the antigen is considered inactivated. As result: No growth deteced.
other info2 :
Buffer: PBS, pH 7.2. Preservative: No. Dry Ice Shipment: Extra charge fee may add to your shipping cost as dry ice is required to ship this product. Important Note: Centrifuge before opening to ensure complete recovery of vial contents. Warnings: No test guarantees a product to be non-infectious. All materials should be handled as if potentially infectious. Generally accepted laboratory practices appropriate for biological materials should be employed when handling this product.

products description :
Should be sonicated immediately prior to use to ensure that the preparation is uniform. Used for both IgG and IgM detection in assays which include EIA with polystyrene and latex solid phases and M capture formats. Each laboratory should determined an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
