products full name :
MAb to Triiodothyronine
products short name :
Triiodothyronine (T3)
products name syn :
Monoclonal Antibody to 3, 5, 3' -Triiodothyronine (T3)
host :
Host: Mouse. Source: Ascites
specificity :
Triiodothyronine (T3). 3, 5, 3'-Triiodothyronine (T3) is a thyroid hormone, which together with thyroxine (T4) exerts a potent influence on the basal metabolic rate. T3 is synthesized from the tyrosine residues of thyroglobin and is found in the serum of normal individuals. Although T3 has a lower serum concentration than T4, it is 5 to 10 times more active. Cross-reactivity: . T4 : <1%. T2: <1%. rT3: <1%
purity :
Protein A chromatography. Product is 0.22um filtered.
concentration :
1.6mg/ml (OD280nm, E^0.1% = 1.36)
storage stability :
Upon receipt, aliquot and store at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
app notes :
Works in ELISA. Can be used as a capture or detection antibody in enzyme-immunoassays. As a capture, the antibody should be immobilized at a concentration of 3ug/mL in 0.2M carbonate/bicarbonate buffer; use 50-100ul/well to coat. As a detection, the antibody can be conjugated to horse radish peroxidase (HRP) or biotin as a means of elaborating the specific reaction. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
