storage stability :
Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze. The user must validate any other storage conditions. When properly stored, the reagent is stable to the date indicated on the label. Do not use the reagent beyond the expiration date. There are no definitive signs to indicate instability of this product; therefore, positive and negative controls should be tested simultaneously with unknown specimens. If unexpected results are observed which cannot be explained by variations in laboratory procedures and a problem with the reagent is suspected, contact Technical Support.
tested application :
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin
app notes :
Immunohistochemistry Procedure . Specimen Preparation: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues are suitable for use with this primary antibody. Deparaffinization: Deparaffinize slides using xylene or xylene alternative and graded alcohols. Antibody Dilution: If using the concentrate format of this product, dilute the antibody 1:200. The dilutions are estimates; actual results may differ because of variability in methods and protocols. Antigen Retrieval: Boil tissue section in 10mM citrate, pH 6.0 for 10 min followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min. Primary Antibody Incubation: Incubate for 30 minutes at room temperature. Slide Washing: Slides must be washed in between steps. Rinse slides with PBS/0.05% Tween. Visualization: Detect the antibody as instructed by the instructions provided with the visualization system. Immunohistochemistry Dilution: 1:200. IHC Positive Control: Tonsil
other info2 :
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide derived from C-terminus of human CD19 protein. Control Tissue: Tonsil. Cellular Localization: Membrane. Entrez Gene Code: 930. Pathway: Stem Cell
products description :
CD19 is expressed in B lymphocytes and B-cell lymphoma. It may also be present on some early myeloid progenitors, particularly those of the monoblastic type. It appears to be expressed on myeloid leukemia cells, particularly those of monocytic lineage. Leukemia phenotype studies have demonstrated that the earliest and broadest B cell restricted antigen is the CD19 antigen. CD19 is negative in T lymphocytes, plasma cells, and their tumors

ncbi summary :
Lymphocytes proliferate and differentiate in response to various concentrations of different antigens. The ability of the B cell to respond in a specific, yet sensitive manner to the various antigens is achieved with the use of low-affinity antigen receptors. This gene encodes a cell surface molecule which assembles with the antigen receptor of B lymphocytes in order to decrease the threshold for antigen receptor-dependent stimulation. uniprot summary :
CD19: a cell surface molecule which assembles with the antigen receptor of B lymphocytes. A critical signal transduction molecule that regulates B lymphocyte development, activation, and differentiation. Ligation increases intracellular calcium levels and decreases the threshold for antigen receptor signaling. Germinal center formation is significantly reduced in CD19-deficient mice. Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Cell surface. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16p11.2. Cellular Component: protein complex; integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane; external side of plasma membrane. Molecular Function: receptor signaling protein activity. Biological Process: epidermal growth factor receptor signaling pathway; regulation of immune response; B cell receptor signaling pathway; fibroblast growth factor receptor signaling pathway; cell surface receptor linked signal transduction; phosphoinositide-mediated signaling; nerve growth factor receptor signaling pathway; cellular defense response; innate immune response; positive regulation of release of sequestered calcium ion into cytosol.
