storage stability :
Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze. The user must validate any other storage conditions. When properly stored, the reagent is stable to the date indicated on the label. Do not use the reagent beyond the expiration date. There are no definitive signs to indicate instability of this product; therefore, positive and negative controls should be tested simultaneously with unknown specimens. If unexpected results are observed which cannot be explained by variations in laboratory procedures and a problem with the reagent is suspected, contact Technical Support.
tested application :
Western Blot (WB)
app notes :
Western Blot . Recommended Starting Protocol: Dilute the antibody 1:25. Incubate for 1 hour at room temperature. The dilution is an estimate; actual results may differ because of variability in methods and protocols. Optimal dilution and procedure should be determined by the end user. Western Blot Positive Control: MCF7 cells
other info2 :
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to human Rho protein. Cellular Localization: Membrane. Entrez Gene Code: 387. Pathway: GDP/GTP Binding Proteins
products description :
The Rho proteins are members of the Ras superfamily of small GTP-binding proteins which have low molecular weight of ~21kDa. Studies show that the amino acid sequence of the Rho family is more than 45% identical to each other and 30% or less identical to Ras or Rab/YPT proteins. The Rho proteins play an important role in the organization of actin cytoskeleton, cell adhesion, cell motility and smooth muscle contraction. The Rho proteins are also involved in the signal transduction pathways mediated by the actin cytoskeleton and the activation of the stress activated MAP kinase cascades. Research demonstrates that Rho kinase is capable of phosphorylating purified smooth muscle myosin phosphatase and inhibiting its activity in vitro.
