other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay) Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision. Intra-Assay: CV<8%. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays) Three samples of known concentration were tested in forty separate assays to assess inter-assay precision. CV (%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<12%
products description :
Intended Uses: For the quantitative detection of Human Probable E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase makorin-3 (MKRN3) concentration in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitative MKRN3 in Human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates. An antibody specific for MKRN3 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any MKRN3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin - conjugated antibody specific for MKRN3 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MKRN3 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene contains a RING (C3HC4) zinc finger motif and several C3H zinc finger motifs. This gene is intronless and imprinted, with expression only from the paternal allele. Disruption of the imprinting at this locus may contribute to Prader-Willi syndrome. An antisense RNA of unknown function has been found overlapping this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
