specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of NMU. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between NMU and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level NMU were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Intra-Assay: CV<10%. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level NMU were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV(%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<12%
products description :
Intended Uses: The kit is a competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique for the in vitro quantitative measurement of NMU in mouse serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific to NMU has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled NMU and unlabeled NMU (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to NMU. After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of NMU in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of NMU in the sample.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a member of the sodium:neurotransmitter symporter family. This member is a multi-pass membrane protein, which is responsible for reuptake of norepinephrine into presynaptic nerve terminals and is a regulator of norepinephrine homeostasis. Mutations in this gene cause orthostatic intolerance, a syndrome characterized by lightheadedness, fatigue, altered mentation and syncope. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified in this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]
uniprot summary :
Amine transporter. Terminates the action of noradrenaline by its high affinity sodium-dependent reuptake into presynaptic terminals.
