products description :
Principle of the Assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is human FFA monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a member of the GP40 family of G protein-coupled receptors that are clustered together on chromosome 19. The encoded protein is a receptor for short chain free fatty acids and may be involved in the inflammatory response and in regulating lipid plasma levels. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2009]
uniprot summary :
FFAR2: Receptor for short chain fatty acids through a G(i)- protein-mediated inhibition of adenylyl cyclase and elevation of intracellular calcium. The rank order of potency for agonists of this receptor is acetate= propionate = butyrate pentanoate = formate. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Protein type: Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, integral; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, multi-pass. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.1. Cellular Component: cell projection; integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane. Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; protein binding; lipid binding. Biological Process: fat cell differentiation; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; sequestering of lipid; mucosal immune response; regulation of acute inflammatory response; cell surface pattern recognition receptor signaling pathway; positive regulation of cytokine production during immune response; positive regulation of acute inflammatory response to non-antigenic stimulus; glucose homeostasis; leukocyte chemotaxis during inflammatory response; positive regulation of chemokine production
