products description :
Principle of the assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Rat SPD monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

uniprot summary :
SFTPD: Contributes to the lung s defense against inhaled microorganisms. May participate in the extracellular reorganization or turnover of pulmonary surfactant. Binds strongly maltose residues and to a lesser extent other alpha-glucosyl moieties. Belongs to the SFTPD family. Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide. Cellular Component: multivesicular body; extracellular space; proteinaceous extracellular matrix; collagen; rough endoplasmic reticulum; cytoplasm; extracellular region; cytoplasmic vesicle. Molecular Function: monosaccharide binding; identical protein binding; lipopolysaccharide binding; carbohydrate binding. Biological Process: negative regulation of phagocytosis; negative regulation of T cell proliferation; immune system process; positive regulation of phagocytosis; innate immune response; opsonization; regulation of liquid surface tension; respiratory gaseous exchange; alveolus development; surfactant homeostasis; negative regulation of interleukin-2 production
