other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: ? 8%. Inter-assay Precision: ? 12%
products description :
Principle of the assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Goat T3 monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear hormone receptor for triiodothyronine. It is one of the several receptors for thyroid hormone, and has been shown to mediate the biological activities of thyroid hormone. Knockout studies in mice suggest that the different receptors, while having certain extent of redundancy, may mediate different functions of thyroid hormone. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
TR-alpha: nuclear hormone receptor and transcription factor. High affinity receptor for triiodothyronine. Interacts with SRC-3 and NCOA6 coactivators, leading to a strong increase of transcription of target genes. Four splice variant isoforms have been described. Protein type: DNA-binding; Transcription factor; Nuclear receptor. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q11.2. Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; cytosol; nucleus. Molecular Function: protein domain specific binding; protein binding; zinc ion binding; TATA-binding protein binding; chromatin DNA binding; sequence-specific DNA binding; protein complex binding; steroid hormone receptor activity; thyroid hormone receptor activity; transcription factor binding; transcription factor activity. Biological Process: transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; negative regulation of transcriptional preinitiation complex assembly; transcription initiation from RNA polymerase II promoter; ossification; cytoplasmic sequestering of transcription factor; intracellular receptor-mediated signaling pathway; hormone-mediated signaling; positive regulation of female receptivity; regulation of myeloid cell apoptosis; regulation of lipid catabolic process; regulation of heart contraction; regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; learning and/or memory; female courtship behavior; thyroid gland development; erythrocyte differentiation; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; steroid hormone mediated signaling; gene expression; response to cold; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; cartilage condensation.
