other info1 :
Samples: Guinea pig serum, plasma or Cell Culture Supernatant and organizations in the natural and recombinant HIS concentration. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 100 ng/ml-1.56 ng/ml
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Guinea pig HIS monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

ncbi summary :
Histamine is a ubiquitous messenger molecule released from mast cells, enterochromaffin-like cells, and neurons. Its various actions are mediated by histamine receptors H1, H2, H3 and H4. Histamine receptor H2 belongs to the family 1 of G protein-coupled receptors. It is an integral membrane protein and stimulates gastric acid secretion. It also regulates gastrointestinal motility and intestinal secretion and is thought to be involved in regulating cell growth and differentiation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2008]
uniprot summary :
H2R: The H2 subclass of histamine receptors mediates gastric acid secretion. Also appears to regulate gastrointestinal motility and intestinal secretion. Possible role in regulating cell growth and differentiation. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase and, through a separate G protein-dependent mechanism, the phosphoinositide/protein kinase (PKC) signaling pathway. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, integral; GPCR, family 1. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q35.2. Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane. Molecular Function: histamine receptor activity. Biological Process: G-protein signaling, coupled to cyclic nucleotide second messenger; gland development; gastrin-induced gastric acid secretion; histamine-induced gastric acid secretion; gut development; positive regulation of vasoconstriction; visual learning; regulation of synaptic plasticity; immune response; memory
