Intra-assay Precision: <= 8%. Inter-assay Precision: <= 12%
products description :
Principle of the assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Mouse PI3K monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes an isoform of the catalytic subunit of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K). These kinases are important in signaling pathways involving receptors on the outer membrane of eukaryotic cells and are named for their catalytic subunit. The encoded protein is the catalytic subunit for PI3Kbeta (PI3KB). PI3KB has been shown to be part of the activation pathway in neutrophils which have bound immune complexes at sites of injury or infection. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2011]
uniprot summary :
PIK3CB: catalytic subunit of phosphoinositide-3-kinase beta. Catalyzes the production of phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-triphosphate by phosphorylating phosphatidylinositol (PI), phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate (PIP) and phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2). Growth factors and hormones trigger this phosphorylation event, which in turn coordinates cell growth, cell cycle entry, cell migration and cell survival. PTEN reverses this process, and the PI3K signaling pathway is constitutively activated in human cancers that have loss of function of PTEN. Expressed ubiquitously. Protein type: Carbohydrate Metabolism - inositol phosphate; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Kinase, lipid; EC 2.7.1.153. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3q22.3. Cellular Component: plasma membrane; cytosol; phosphoinositide 3-kinase complex; nucleus. Molecular Function: protein binding; phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase activity; 1-phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase activity; insulin receptor substrate binding; phosphoinositide 3-kinase activity; phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate 3-kinase activity; ATP binding. Biological Process: phosphoinositide 3-kinase cascade; nerve growth factor receptor signaling pathway; regulation of cell-matrix adhesion; activation of MAPK activity; chemotaxis; signal transduction; T cell receptor signaling pathway; embryonic cleavage; phosphoinositide phosphorylation; phospholipid metabolic process; positive regulation of autophagy; epidermal growth factor receptor signaling pathway; platelet activation; cell migration; fibroblast growth factor receptor signaling pathway; phosphoinositide-mediated signaling; cellular calcium ion homeostasis; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; insulin receptor signaling pathway; phosphatidylinositol biosynthetic process; autophagy; innate immune response; blood coagulation; homophilic cell adhesion; vascular endothelial growth factor receptor signaling pathway; leukocyte migration; transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine kinase signaling pathway
