products description :
Principle of the assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Mouse PGD2-MOX monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a G-protein-coupled receptor that is preferentially expressed in CD4+ effector T helper 2 (Th2) cells. This protein is a prostaglandin D2 receptor that mediates the pro-inflammatory chemotaxis of eosinophils, basophils, and Th2 lymphocytes generated during allergic inflammation. Single nucleotide polymorphisms in the 3' UTR of this gene have been associated with asthma susceptibility.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]
uniprot summary :
GPR44: Receptor for prostaglandin D2 (PGD2). Coupled to the G(i)-protein. Receptor activation may result in pertussis toxin- sensitive decreases in cAMP levels and Ca(2+) mobilization. PI3K signaling is also implicated in mediating PTGDR2 effects. PGD2 induced receptor internalization. CRTH2 internalization can be regulated by diverse kinases such as, PKC, PKA, ADRBK1/GRK2, GPRK5/GRK5 and GRK6. Receptor activation is responsible, at least in part, in immune regulation and allergic/inflammation responses. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Protein type: GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, integral. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11q12-q13.3. Cellular Component: neuron projection; integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane. Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; neuropeptide binding; prostaglandin F receptor activity; prostaglandin J receptor activity; prostaglandin D receptor activity. Biological Process: G-protein signaling, coupled to cyclic nucleotide second messenger; synaptic transmission; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; neuropeptide signaling pathway; positive regulation of G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; calcium-mediated signaling; immune response; G-protein signaling, adenylate cyclase inhibiting pathway; chemotaxis
