Samples: Mouse serum, plasma or cell culture supernatant and organizations in the natural and recombinant LH concentration. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 50 mIU/ml-0.78 mIU/ml. Sensitivity: Up to 0.08 mIU/ml.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: <= 8%. Inter-assay Precision: <= 12%
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Mouse LH monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

ncbi summary :
This gene is a member of the glycoprotein hormone beta chain family and encodes the beta subunit of luteinizing hormone (LH). Glycoprotein hormones are heterodimers consisting of a common alpha subunit and an unique beta subunit which confers biological specificity. LH is expressed in the pituitary gland and promotes spermatogenesis and ovulation by stimulating the testes and ovaries to synthesize steroids. The genes for the beta chains of chorionic gonadotropin and for luteinizing hormone are contiguous on chromosome 19q13.3. Mutations in this gene are associated with hypogonadism which is characterized by infertility and pseudohermaphroditism. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
LHB: Promotes spermatogenesis and ovulation by stimulating the testes and ovaries to synthesize steroids. Defects in LHB are a cause of hypogonadism LHB-related (HGON-LHB). Hypogonadism is characterized by infertility and pseudohermaphroditism. Belongs to the glycoprotein hormones subunit beta family. Protein type: Secreted; Hormone; Secreted, signal peptide. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.32. Cellular Component: extracellular region. Molecular Function: hormone activity; receptor binding. Biological Process: progesterone biosynthetic process; cellular protein metabolic process; cell-cell signaling; male gonad development; peptide hormone processing; signal transduction. Disease: Fertile Eunuch Syndrome
