products description :
Principle of the Assay This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is human PG monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a peptidoglycan recognition protein, which belongs to the N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase 2 family. These proteins are part of the innate immune system and recognize peptidoglycan, a ubiquitous component of bacterial cell walls. This protein binds to murein peptidoglycans of Gram-positive bacteria. uniprot summary :
PGLYRP3: Pattern receptor that binds to murein peptidoglycans (PGN) of Gram-positive bacteria. Has bactericidal activity towards Gram-positive bacteria. May kill Gram-positive bacteria by interfering with peptidoglycan biosynthesis. Binds also to Gram- negative bacteria, and has bacteriostatic activity towards Gram- negative bacteria. Plays a role in innate immunity. Belongs to the N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase 2 family. Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q21. Cellular Component: membrane; extracellular region; intracellular. Molecular Function: peptidoglycan receptor activity; peptidoglycan binding; zinc ion binding; N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase activity. Biological Process: defense response to Gram-positive bacterium; negative regulation of natural killer cell differentiation during immune response; detection of bacterium; negative regulation of interferon-gamma production; innate immune response; pattern recognition receptor signaling pathway; peptidoglycan catabolic process
