products description :
Principle of the assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Rat CA125 monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

ncbi summary :
Members of the CEACAM subfamily, including CEACAM5, belong to the CEA gene family. For general information on the CEA gene family, see CEACAM1 (MIM 109770).[supplied by OMIM, Oct 2009]
uniprot summary :
CEACAM5: Cell surface glycoprotein that plays a role in cell adhesion and in intracellular signaling. Receptor for E.coli Dr adhesins. Homodimer. Binding of E.coli Dr adhesins leads to dissociation of the homodimer. Found in adenocarcinomas of endodermally derived digestive system epithelium and fetal colon. Belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. CEA family. Protein type: Immunoglobulin superfamily; Membrane protein, GPI anchor; Membrane protein, integral. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.1-q13.2. Cellular Component: basolateral plasma membrane; integral to plasma membrane. Molecular Function: identical protein binding; protein homodimerization activity. Biological Process: homotypic cell-cell adhesion; negative regulation of apoptosis
