Intra-assay Precision: <= 8%. Inter-assay Precision: <= 12%
products description :
Principle of the Assay This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is human PGH2 monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane-associated prostaglandin E synthase, which catalyzes the conversion of prostaglandin H2 to prostaglandin E2. This protein also has been shown to activate the transcription regulated by a gamma-interferon-activated transcription element (GATE). Multiple transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2009]
uniprot summary :
PTGES2: Isomerase that catalyzes the conversion of unstable intermediate of prostaglandin E2 H2 (PGH2) into the more stable prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) form. May also have transactivation activity toward IFN-gamma (IFNG), possibly via an interaction with CEBPB; however, the relevance of transcription activation activity remains unclear. Belongs to the GST superfamily. Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; EC 5.3.99.3; Isomerase; Lipid Metabolism - arachidonic acid. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 9q34.11. Cellular Component: Golgi membrane; mitochondrion; perinuclear region of cytoplasm; integral to membrane; nucleus; cytosol. Molecular Function: electron carrier activity; glutathione binding; DNA binding; lyase activity; heme binding; protein disulfide oxidoreductase activity; prostaglandin-E synthase activity. Biological Process: secretion; cell redox homeostasis; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; prostaglandin biosynthetic process
