Samples: Serum, Plasma, Biological Fluids. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 0.156-10ng/mL. Sensitivity: Min: 0.094ng/mL; Max: 10ng/mL
products description :
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit can be applied to the in vitro quantitative determination of Porcine AMH concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been precoated with an antibody specific to Porcine AMH. Standards or samples are added to appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibodies specific for Porcine AMH and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. After incubation, free components are washed away. Then the Substrate Reagent is added to each well, only those wells that contain Porcine AMH, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin- HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction will be terminated by adding Stop Solution and appears yellow in color. The optical density (OD) can be measured with spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Porcine AMH. The concentration of Porcine AMH in samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples with the standard curve.

ncbi summary :
This gene is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily of growth and differentiation factors. The encoded protein is produced in fetal Sertoli cells during male gonadal differentiation. The protein binds to the anti-Mullerian hormone receptor type 2 and causes the regression of Mullerian ducts in developing male embryos. In humans, some mutations in this gene are associated with persistent Mullerian duct syndrome (PMDS). [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2013]
uniprot summary :
AMH: This glycoprotein, produced by the Sertoli cells of the testis, causes regression of the Muellerian duct. It is also able to inhibit the growth of tumors derived from tissues of Muellerian duct origin. Defects in AMH are the cause of persistent Muellerian duct syndrome type 1 (PMDS1). PMDS1 is a form of male pseudohermaphroditism characterized by a failure of Muellerian duct regression in otherwise normal males. Belongs to the TGF-beta family. Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted. Cellular Component: extracellular space; cytoplasm. Molecular Function: hormone activity; transforming growth factor beta receptor binding; receptor binding. Biological Process: Mullerian duct regression; cell-cell signaling; preantral ovarian follicle growth; urogenital system development; activation of NF-kappaB transcription factor
