products description :
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Human GLP-2 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Principle of the Assay This ELISA kit uses Competitive-ELISA as the method. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with GLP-2. During the reaction, GLP-2 in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of GLP-2 on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to GLP-2. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of GLP-2 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a G protein-coupled receptor that is closely related to the glucagon receptor and binds to glucagon-like peptide-2 (GLP2). Signalling through GLP2 stimulates intestinal growth and increases villus height in the small intestine, concomitant with increased crypt cell proliferation and decreased enterocyte apoptosis. uniprot summary :
GLP2R: This is a receptor for glucagon-like peptide 2. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family. Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; GPCR, family 2; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, GPCR. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17p13.3. Cellular Component: plasma membrane; integral to membrane. Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; glucagon receptor activity. Biological Process: G-protein signaling, coupled to cAMP nucleotide second messenger; positive regulation of cell proliferation
