Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Mouse PDI were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Mouse PDI were tested on 3 different plates, 20 replicates in each plate.
products description :
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Mouse PDI concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse PDI. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Mouse PDI and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Mouse PDI, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Mouse PDI. You can calculate the concentration of Mouse PDI in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the serpin family, although it does not display the serine protease inhibitory activity shown by many of the other serpin family members. The encoded protein is secreted and strongly inhibits angiogenesis. In addition, this protein is a neurotrophic factor involved in neuronal differentiation in retinoblastoma cells.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]
uniprot summary :
PEDF: a secreted neurotrophic protein that induces extensive neuronal differentiation in retinoblastoma cells. Potent inhibitor of angiogenesis. As it does not undergo the S (stressed) to R (relaxed) conformational transition characteristic of active serpins, it exhibits no serine protease inhibitory activity. The N-terminal (AA 44-121) exhibits neurite outgrowth-inducing activity. The C-terminal exposed loop (AA 382-418) is essential for serpin activity. Extracellular phosphorylation enhances antiangiogenic activity. Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Inhibitor; Secreted. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17p13.3. Cellular Component: axon hillock; extracellular matrix; extracellular space; perinuclear region of cytoplasm; melanosome; extracellular region; basement membrane. Molecular Function: serine-type endopeptidase inhibitor activity. Biological Process: cell proliferation; positive regulation of neurogenesis; negative regulation of angiogenesis; ovulation cycle; short-term memory; retina development in camera-type eye; multicellular organismal development; response to arsenic; negative regulation of inflammatory response; response to acidity; kidney development; aging. Disease: Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Type Vi
