form :
Supplied as lyophilized form in PBS, pH7.4, containing 5% sucrose, 0.01 % sarcosyl.
storage stability :
Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Store at 2-8 Degree C for one month. Aliquot and store at -80 Degree C for 12 months. Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the target protein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 Degree C for 48hrs, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
tested application :
SDS-PAGE; WB; ELISA; IP. (May be suitable for use in other assays to be determined by the end user.)

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes tissue-type plasminogen activator, a secreted serine protease which converts the proenzyme plasminogen to plasmin, a fibrinolytic enzyme. Tissue-type plasminogen activator is synthesized as a single chain which is cleaved by plasmin to a two chain disulfide linked protein. This enzyme plays a role in cell migration and tissue remodeling. Increased enzymatic activity causes hyperfibrinolysis, which manifests as excessive bleeding; decreased activity leads to hypofibrinolysis which can result in thrombosis or embolism. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
