products description :
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit can be applied to the in vitro quantitative determination of diphtheria toxoid IgG concentrations in human serum/plasma or whole blood sample. This kit is suitable for auxiliary diagnosis and detection of the concentration of diphtheria toxoid IgG in the body of health or susceptible population has reached the completely protection titer (0.1 IU/mL), and whether the concentration has reached the immunizing standard (0.1IU/mL) after vaccinated with vaccine containing diphtheria toxoid. Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit adopts Indirect-ELISA method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with purified diphtheria toxoid antigen. When samples are added into the micro ELISA plate wells, the diphtheria toxoid IgG in the sample will combine with the pre-coated diphtheria toxoid antigen to form antigen-antibody compound. Free components are washed away. Add HRP conjugated Mouse-anti-human IgG monoclonal antibody and react with the compound to form antigen-antibody-HRP secondary compound. Free components are washed away. The TMB substrate solution is added to initiate the color developing reaction. The shade of developed color is proportional to the concentration of diphtheria toxoid IgG.

uniprot summary :
CHGB: a member of the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. It is found in secretory vesicles of neurons and endocrine cells. This gene product is a precursor to three biologically active peptides; vasostatin, pancreastatin, and parastatin. These peptides act as autocrine or paracrine negative modulators of the neuroendocrine system. Other peptides, including chromostatin, beta-granin, WE-14 and GE-25, are also derived from the full-length protein. However, biological activities for these molecules have not been shown. Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 20p12.3. Cellular Component: extracellular region; secretory granule. Molecular Function: protein binding; hormone activity
