other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 3.125-200ng/mL. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of Mouse F13B is 1.875ng/mL (The sensitivity of this assay, or lowest detectable limit (LDL) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero).
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Mouse F13B concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.
products description :
Principle of the assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to F13B. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for F13B and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain F13B, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of F13B. You can calculate the concentration of F13B in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes fibronectin, a glycoprotein present in a soluble dimeric form in plasma, and in a dimeric or multimeric form at the cell surface and in extracellular matrix. Fibronectin is involved in cell adhesion and migration processes including embryogenesis, wound healing, blood coagulation, host defense, and metastasis. The gene has three regions subject to alternative splicing, with the potential to produce 20 different transcript variants. However, the full-length nature of some variants has not been determined. uniprot summary :
FN1: Fibronectins bind cell surfaces and various compounds including collagen, fibrin, heparin, DNA, and actin. Fibronectins are involved in cell adhesion, cell motility, opsonization, wound healing, and maintenance of cell shape. Defects in FN1 are the cause of glomerulopathy with fibronectin deposits type 2 (GFND2); also known as familial glomerular nephritis with fibronectin deposits or fibronectin glomerulopathy. GFND is a genetically heterogeneous autosomal dominant disorder characterized clinically by proteinuria, microscopic hematuria, and hypertension that leads to end-stage renal failure in the second to fifth decade of life. 15 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted; Cell adhesion. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q34. Cellular Component: extracellular matrix; extracellular space; fibrinogen complex; apical plasma membrane; extracellular region; ER-Golgi intermediate compartment; basal lamina. Molecular Function: collagen binding; integrin binding; heparin binding; protein binding; protease activator activity; protease binding.
