Target: LL37/Cathelicidin. Target Species: Human. Immunogen Description: 17 amino acid peptide near the carboxy terminus of the human Cathelicidin. Epitope: C-Terminus
other info2 :
Immunogen: LL37 / CAMP / Cathelicidin antibody was raised against 17 amino acid peptide near the carboxy terminus of the human Cathelicidin.
products description :
Immunohistochemistry: This Antibody was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for MBS242692 was determined to be 5 ug/ml.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a member of an antimicrobial peptide family, characterized by a highly conserved N-terminal signal peptide containing a cathelin domain and a structurally variable cationic antimicrobial peptide, which is produced by extracellular proteolysis from the C-terminus. In addition to its antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral activities, the encoded protein functions in cell chemotaxis, immune mediator induction, and inflammatory response regulation. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]
