ELISA: Minimum Dilution: 0.2; Maximum Dilution: 0.4ng/well;. Functional Assays: Minimum Dilution: 1.0; Maximum Dilution: 2.0ug/ml;. Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 1.5; Maximum Dilution: 3.0ng/lane
other info1 :
Reconstitution: Reconstitute with 0.2ml distilled water. Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. MyBioSource recommends that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution. Preparation: Purified recombinant CTGF expressed in E Coli
other info2 :
Buffer Solution: 10mM Sodium Acetate. Activity: Determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of HUVEC cells. The expected ED50 for this effect is 1.0-2.0 ug/ml. Target Species: Human
products description :
CTGF (connective tissue growth factor) is a heparin-binding pleiotropic growth factor and member of the CCN family of secreted cysteine rich regulatory proteins, which interacts with other growth factors including transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs). CTGF promotes the adhesion of epithelial cells and fibroblasts, stimulates integrin expression, and promotes endothelial cell survival, migration and adhesion, implicating CTGF in angiogenesis. CTGF is involved in chondrogenesis and potentially skeletogenesis, induces extracellular matrix formation and has also been implicated in wound healing.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is a mitogen that is secreted by vascular endothelial cells. The encoded protein plays a role in chondrocyte proliferation and differentiation, cell adhesion in many cell types, and is related to platelet-derived growth factor. Certain polymorphisms in this gene have been linked with a higher incidence of systemic sclerosis. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]
uniprot summary :
CTGF: Major connective tissue mitoattractant secreted by vascular endothelial cells. Promotes proliferation and differentiation of chondrocytes. Mediates heparin- and divalent cation-dependent cell adhesion in many cell types including fibroblasts, myofibroblasts, endothelial and epithelial cells. Enhances fibroblast growth factor-induced DNA synthesis. Belongs to the CCN family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
