concentration :
IgG concentration 1.0mg/ml after reconstitution.
storage stability :
Prior to reconstitution store at 4 degree C. After reconstitution store at -20 degree C. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use. Shelf Life: 12 months from date of reconstitution.
tested application :
ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB)
app notes :
ELISA: This purified human IGFBP-7 antibody may be used in an indirect ELISA or as the capture reagent in a sandwich ELISA with our biotinylated human IGFBP-7 antibody as the detection reagent and recombinant human IGFBP-7 as the standard. ELISA: Minimum Dilution: 0.5; Maximum Dilution: 2.0ug/ml. Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 0.1; Maximum Dilution: 0.2ug/ml
other info1 :
Reconstitution: Reconstitute with 0.1ml distilled water. For long term storage the addition of 0.09% sodium azide is recommended.
other info2 :
Immunogen: Recombinant human IGFBP-7. Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline. Antiserum Preparation: Antisera to human IGFBP-7 were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography. Target Species: Human
products description :
Rabbit anti Human IGFBP-7 antibody recognizes human IGFBP-7 (insulin-like growth factor binding protein-7), also known as mac25, a 256 amino acid secreted protein and member of a growing family of IGFBPs which regulate the biological activities and distribution of the insulin-like growth factors (IGFs), through binding to IGF-I and IGF-II. IGFBP-7 is widely expressed throughout normal tissues, but is also expressed in many tumour types at an increased or reduced level, and acts as a suppressor of breast and prostate cancer cell lines. IGFBP-7 inhibits IGF-induced differentiation of skeletal muscle (myogenesis) and has implications in bone formation, by its possible affects on the actions of parathyroid hormone (PTH) and cortisol.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a member of the insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-binding protein (IGFBP) family. IGFBPs bind IGFs with high affinity, and regulate IGF availability in body fluids and tissues and modulate IGF binding to its receptors. This protein binds IGF-I and IGF-II with relatively low affinity, and belongs to a subfamily of low-affinity IGFBPs. It also stimulates prostacyclin production and cell adhesion. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene, and one variant has been associated with retinal arterial macroaneurysm (PMID:21835307). uniprot summary :
IGFBP7: Binds IGF-I and IGF-II with a relatively low affinity. Stimulates prostacyclin (PGI2) production. Stimulates cell adhesion. Defects in IGFBP7 are the cause of retinal arterial macroaneurysm with supravalvular pulmonic stenosis (RAMSVPS). RAMSVPS is an autosomal recessive condition characterized by the bilateral appearance of beading along the major retinal arterial trunks, with the subsequent formation of macroaneurysms. Affected individuals also have supravalvular pulmonic stenosis, often requiring surgical correction. Protein type: Cell adhesion; Cell cycle regulation; Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4q12. Cellular Component: extracellular matrix; extracellular space; extracellular region. Molecular Function: insulin-like growth factor binding; protein binding. Biological Process: negative regulation of cell proliferation; response to cortisol stimulus; response to retinoic acid; response to heat; regulation of steroid biosynthetic process; regulation of cell growth; cell adhesion; inner ear development; embryo implantation; cellular response to hormone stimulus. Disease: Retinal Arterial Macroaneurysm With Supravalvular Pulmonic Stenosis
