Rabbit anti thioredoxin antibody recognises thioredoxin, a small ubiquitous protein found in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms. E Coli. is a 109 amino acid protein. It is involved in a wide range of intracellular redox reactions. Thioredoxin is highly conserved particularly at the enzymatic active site and this antibody is expected to cross react with thioredoxin from many species.
