Goat anti Adenovirus antibody recognizes numerous Adeno proteins including hexon protein, and reacts with Adenovirus types 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7a, 8, 31, 40 & 41. Broad reactivity with other Adenovirus types is expected. Goat anti Adenovirus antibody does not cross-react with Parainfluenza types 1-3, Influenza A & B, RSV, hMPV and Rhinovirus type 16. Goat anti Adenovirus antibody does not react with uninfected Hep-2, LLCMK2 and Vero cells. Adenoviruses are 80-110 nm diameter, non-enveloped icosahedral viruses that can cause respiratory illness, infantile gastroenteritis and other mild disorders such as conjunctivitis. Features of Adenovirus have made it a useful tool for gene transfection and expression in mammalian cells.

Store at +4°C or at -20°C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

ELISA, Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blotting (WB)

Suggested Dilution: ELISA: 1/5,000, IF: 1/8,000, WB: 1/1,000. Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using the appropriate negative/positive controls.

Target Species: Viral. Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline. Preservative Stabilizers: 0.09% Sodium Azide (NaN 3 ). Immunogen: Gradient purified, disrupted native adenovirus type 5 virions.
