specificity :
This item recognises CD278, also known as Inducible T cell costimulator or ICOS, a CD28-superfamily costimulatory molecule. It is expressed on activated T cells and resting memory T cells. It enhances all the basic T cell responses to a foreign antigen, namely proliferation, secretion of lymphokines and up-regulation of molecules that mediate cell-cell interaction. It is essential for the efficient interaction between B and T cells and is involved in antibody responses to T cell dependent antigens. It up-regulates the synthesis of interleukin-10, but not interleukin-2 and prevents the apoptosis of pre-activated T cells. Clone C398.4A has been reported to costimulate T cell activation and proliferation in vitro.
form :
Purified. Purified IgG - liquid
concentration :
IgG concentration 0.5mg/ml
storage stability :
Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use. Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.
tested application :
Immunohistology Frozen, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP)
app notes :
Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 1x106 cells in 100ul. Flow Cytometry: Minimum Dilution: 1/5; Maximum Dilution: 1/10

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the CD28 and CTLA-4 cell-surface receptor family. It forms homodimers and plays an important role in cell-cell signaling, immune responses, and regulation of cell proliferation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
