specificity :
This item recognises the human CD103 cell surface antigen, also known as the alphaE integrin. This reacts with various subsets of human intra-epithelial lymphocytes:- 40% of lamina propria T-cells; 30% of mesenteric lymphoblasts and some lymphocytes from other mucosa. It recognises less than 0.1% bone marrow cells and less than 0.7% PBL.
form :
Purified. Purified IgG - liquid
concentration :
IgG concentration 1.0 mg/ml
storage stability :
Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use. Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.
tested application :
Immunohistology Frozen*, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP)
app notes :
Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 5 x 105 cells in 100ul. Immunohistology - Frozen: Minimum Dilution: 1/50; Maximum Dilution: 1/100; Application Note: The epitope recognised by this antibody is reported to be sensitive to formaldehyde fixation and tissue processing. MyBioSource recommends the use of acetone fixation for frozen sections. . Flow Cytometry: Minimum Dilution: 1/50; Maximum Dilution: 1/100
other info1 :
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.09% Sodium Azide. 0.5% Bovine Serum Albumin. Preparation: Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography on Protein A from ascites

ncbi summary :
Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. This gene encodes an I-domain-containing alpha integrin that undergoes post-translational cleavage in the extracellular domain, yielding disulfide-linked heavy and light chains. In combination with the beta 7 integrin, this protein forms the E-cadherin binding integrin known as the human mucosal lymphocyte-1 antigen. This protein is preferentially expressed in human intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes (IEL), and in addition to a role in adhesion, it may serve as an accessory molecule for IEL activation.
