storage stability :
Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. This product should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use. Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.
tested application :
Immunohistology Frozen, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistology Paraffin*
app notes :
Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul. Flow Cytometry: Minimum Dilution: 1/100; Maximum Dilution: 1/200. Immunohistology - Paraffin: Application Note: This product requires protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections e.g. trypsin or pronase.
other info1 :
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.09% Sodium Azide. Preparation: Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography on Protein G from tissue culture supernatant
other info2 :
Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline. Target Species: Rat
products description :
Mouse anti Rat CD172a antibody, clone OX-41 recognizes rat CD172a, also known as Signal regulatory protein (SIRP). CD172a is expressed selectively by myeloid cells and by neurons. MRC OX-41 binds to a different epitope on SIRP than ED9. It does not block the interaction of CD172a - CD47.

uniprot summary :
SHPS1: Immunoglobulin-like cell surface receptor for CD47. Acts as docking protein and induces translocation of PTPN6, PTPN11 and other binding partners from the cytosol to the plasma membrane. Supports adhesion of cerebellar neurons, neurite outgrowth and glial cell attachment. May play a key role in intracellular signaling during synaptogenesis and in synaptic function. Involved in the negative regulation of receptor tyrosine kinase-coupled cellular responses induced by cell adhesion, growth factors or insulin. Mediates negative regulation of phagocytosis, mast cell activation and dendritic cell activation. CD47 binding prevents maturation of immature dendritic cells and inhibits cytokine production by mature dendritic cells. Binds PTPN11 when tyrosine-phosphorylated, except in macrophages, where it primarily binds PTPN6. Binds GRB2 in vitro. Binds FGR. Binds JAK2 irrespective of its phosphorylation status and forms a stable complex. Binds SCAP1 and/or SCAP2. The resulting complex recruits FYB. Binds PTK2B. Ubiquitous. Highly expressed in brain. Detected on myeloid cells, but not T-cells. Detected at lower levels in heart, placenta, lung, testis, ovary, colon, liver, small intestine, prostate, spleen, kidney, skeletal muscle and pancreas. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Cell adhesion; Cell surface; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Receptor, misc. Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane. Molecular Function: protein phosphorylated amino acid binding; protein binding; SH3 domain binding. Biological Process: cell migration; positive regulation of phagocytosis; cell-matrix adhesion; actin filament organization; cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; hemopoietic progenitor cell differentiation; phagocytosis, recognition; phagocytosis, engulfment
