Mouse anti Campylobacter jejuni, clone 7711 detects Campylobacter jejuni, a curved, rod-shaped gram negative bacterium which is a member of the Campylobacteraceae family. C.jejuni are motile with a polar unsheathed flagellum which results in a corkscrew like motion. C.jejuni occur primarily as commensals in humans and domestic animals, particularly in chickens where gut temperatures of 42 degree C are optimal for growth. C.jejuni is one of the most common causes of human diarrhea in the world. Campylobacter infections are also associated with post infectious complications including arthritis, Reiter syndrome and Guillain -Barre´ syndrome. Mouse anti Campylobacter jejuni, clone 7711 does not react with H.pylori, E Coli, Salmonella, Shigella, P. aeruginosa, Yersinia, Citrobacter.
