products description :
Mouse anti Human CD88 antibody, clone P12/1 recognizes the C5a receptor (C5aR) CD88, which is predominantly expressed on cells of the myeloid lineage. Clone P12/1 was raised against a synthetic peptide comprising the N-terminal extracellular domain of the C5aR (met1-Asn31). Mouse anti Human CD88 antibody, clone P12/1 does not inhibit the binding of C5a to its receptor.

uniprot summary :
C5aR: a family 1 G-protein coupled receptor that stimulates the GTPase activity of Gi2. Receptor for the chemotactic and inflammatory complement factor C5a. Stimulates chemotaxis, granule enzyme release and superoxide anion production. Phosphorylated in response to C5a or after stimulation of cells with phorbol esters. Expressed on monocytes, granulocytes, dendritic cells, astrocytes and microglia. Protein type: GPCR, family 1; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.3-q13.4. Cellular Component: cell surface; apical part of cell; integral to plasma membrane; basolateral plasma membrane; cytoplasmic membrane-bound vesicle; plasma membrane. Molecular Function: complement component C5a receptor activity; complement component C5a binding; C5a anaphylatoxin receptor activity.
