purity :
Antigen-specific affinity chromatography followed by Protein A affinity chromatography
form :
Supplied as solution form in PBS, pH7.4, containing 0.02% NaN3, 50% glycerol.
concentration :
0.7 mg/ml
storage stability :
Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Store at 4ºC for frequent use. Aliquot and store at -20ºC for 12 months. Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
tested application :
WB; IHC; ICC; IP.
app notes :
Western blotting: 0.5-2 Ug/mL;1:350-1400. Immunohistochemistry: 5-20 Ug/mL;1:35-140. Immunocytochemistry: 5-20 Ug/mL;1:35-140. Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

uniprot summary :
GYPA: Glycophorin A is the major intrinsic membrane protein of the erythrocyte. The N-terminal glycosylated segment, which lies outside the erythrocyte membrane, has MN blood group receptors. Appears to be important for the function of SLC4A1 and is required for high activity of SLC4A1. May be involved in translocation of SLC4A1 to the plasma membrane. Is a receptor for influenza virus. Is a receptor for Plasmodium falciparum erythrocyte-binding antigen 175 (EBA-175); binding of EBA-175 is dependent on sialic acid residues of the O-linked glycans. Appears to be a receptor for Hepatitis A virus (HAV). Belongs to the glycophorin A family. Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold; Membrane protein, integral. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 8 C2 8 38.27 cM. Cellular Component: external side of plasma membrane; integral component of membrane; integral component of plasma membrane; membrane. Molecular Function: protein homodimerization activity. Biological Process: cytoskeletal anchoring; regulation of response to osmotic stress
