specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Interleukin 1 Receptor Type II (IL1R2). No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Interleukin 1 Receptor Type II (IL1R2) and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
For unopened kit: All the reagents should be kept according to the labels on vials. The Standard, Detection Reagent A, Detection Reagent B and the 96-well strip plate should be stored at -20 degree C upon receipt while the others should be at 4 degree C. For opened kit: When the kit is opened, the remaining reagents still need to be stored according to the above storage condition. Besides, please return the unused wells to the foil pouch containing the desiccant pack, and reseal along entire edge of zip-seal. The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 15.63-1000pg/mL. Sensitivity: Typically less than 6.8pg/mL.
other info2 :
Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Interleukin 1 Receptor Type II (IL1R2) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Interleukin 1 Receptor Type II (IL1R2) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV(%) = SD/meanX100 . Intra-Assay: CV<10% . Inter-Assay: CV<12% . Assay Procedure Summary: 1. Prepare all reagents, samples and standards;. 2. Add 100uL standard or sample to each well. Incubate 2 hours at 37 degree C;. 3. Aspirate and add 100uL prepared Detection Reagent A. Incubate 1 hour at 37 degree C;. 4. Aspirate and wash 3 times;. 5. Add 100uL prepared Detection Reagent B. Incubate 30 minutes at 37 degree C;. 6. Aspirate and wash 5 times;. 7. Add 90uL Substrate Solution. Incubate 15-25 minutes at 37 degree C;. 8. Add 50uL Stop Solution. Read at 450nm immediately.
products description :
Principle of the Assay: The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Interleukin 1 Receptor Type II (IL1R2). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Interleukin 1 Receptor Type II (IL1R2). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Interleukin 1 Receptor Type II (IL1R2), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm 10nm. The concentration of Interleukin 1 Receptor Type II (IL1R2) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine receptor that belongs to the interleukin 1 receptor family. This protein binds interleukin alpha (IL1A), interleukin beta (IL1B), and interleukin 1 receptor, type I(IL1R1/IL1RA), and acts as a decoy receptor that inhibits the activity of its ligands. Interleukin 4 (IL4) is reported to antagonize the activity of interleukin 1 by inducing the expression and release of this cytokine. This gene and three other genes form a cytokine receptor gene cluster on chromosome 2q12. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants and protein isoforms. Alternative splicing produces both membrane-bound and soluble proteins. A soluble protein is also produced by proteolytic cleavage. [provided by RefSeq, May 2012]
uniprot summary :
IL-1RB: Non-signaling receptor for IL1A, IL1B and IL1RN. Reduces IL1B activities. Serves as a decoy receptor by competetive binding to IL1B and preventing its binding to IL1R1. Also modulates cellular response through non-signaling association with IL1RAP after binding to IL1B. IL1R2 (membrane and secreted forms) preferentially binds IL1B and poorly IL1A and IL1RN. The secreted IL1R2 recruits secreted IL1RAP with high affinity; this complex formation may be the dominant mechanism for neutralization of IL1B by secreted/soluble receptors. Belongs to the interleukin-1 receptor family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Membrane protein, integral. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q12. Cellular Component: extracellular region; integral to membrane; plasma membrane. Molecular Function: protein binding; interleukin-1, Type II, blocking receptor activity; interleukin-1 receptor activity. Biological Process: cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; immune response
