specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of JAG1. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between JAG1 and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

ncbi summary :
The jagged 1 protein encoded by JAG1 is the human homolog of the Drosophilia jagged protein. Human jagged 1 is the ligand for the receptor notch 1, the latter a human homolog of the Drosophilia jagged receptor notch. Mutations that alter the jagged 1 protein cause Alagille syndrome. Jagged 1 signalling through notch 1 has also been shown to play a role in hematopoiesis. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
JAG1: Ligand for multiple Notch receptors and involved in the mediation of Notch signaling. May be involved in cell-fate decisions during hematopoiesis. Seems to be involved in early and late stages of mammalian cardiovascular development. Inhibits myoblast differentiation. Enhances fibroblast growth factor-induced angiogenesis (in vitro). Interacts with NOTCH2 and NOTCH3. Interacts with NOTCH1 (in the presence of calcium ions). Widely expressed in adult and fetal tissues. In cervix epithelium expressed in undifferentiated subcolumnar reserve cells and squamous metaplasia. Expression is up-regulated in cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Expressed in bone marrow cell line HS-27a which supports the long-term maintenance of immature progenitor cells. Protein type: Membrane protein, integral. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 20p12.1-p11.23. Cellular Component: membrane; integral to plasma membrane; apical part of cell; extracellular region; plasma membrane. Molecular Function: protein binding; growth factor activity; calcium ion binding; Notch binding; structural molecule activity. Biological Process: endothelial cell differentiation; nervous system development; Notch signaling pathway; positive regulation of myeloid cell differentiation; T cell mediated immunity; Notch receptor processing; auditory receptor cell differentiation; cell fate determination; negative regulation of fat cell differentiation; regulation of cell migration; regulation of cell proliferation; myoblast differentiation; keratinocyte differentiation; positive regulation of osteoblast differentiation; negative regulation of neuron differentiation; response to muramyl dipeptide; morphogenesis of an epithelial sheet; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; hemopoiesis; blood vessel remodeling; angiogenesis; positive regulation of Notch signaling pathway.
