The target protein is fused with N-terminal His-Tag, its sequence is listed below. MGHHHHHHSGS-MSNVPHKSSL PEGIRPGTVL RIRGLVPPNA SRFHVNLLCG EEQGSDAALH FNPRLDTSEV VFNSKEQGSW GREERGPGVP FQRGQPFEVL IIASDDGFKA VVGDAQYHHF RHRLPLARVR LVEVGGDVQL DSVRIF
form :
Supplied as lyophilized form in PBS,pH7.4, containing 5% sucrose, 0.01% sarcosyl.
storage stability :
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Store at 2-8 degree C for one month. Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for 12 months. Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the targetprotein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation andprecipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is lessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
tested application :
SDS-PAGE, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP)

ncbi summary :
The galectins are a family of beta-galactoside-binding proteins implicated in modulating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. Differential and in situ hybridization studies indicate that this lectin is specifically expressed in keratinocytes and found mainly in stratified squamous epithelium. A duplicate copy of this gene (GeneID:3963) is found adjacent to, but on the opposite strand on chromosome 19. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
LGALS7B: Could be involved in cell-cell and/or cell-matrix interactions necessary for normal growth control. Pro-apoptotic protein that functions intracellularly upstream of JNK activation and cytochrome c release. Protein type: Apoptosis; Cell adhesion. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.2. Cellular Component: extracellular space; cytoplasm; nucleus. Molecular Function: carbohydrate binding. Biological Process: heterophilic cell adhesion; apoptosis
