PBS, pH7.4, containing 0.01% SKL, 1mM DTT, 5% Trehalose and Proclin300.
concentration :
Original Concentration: 200@g/mL
storage stability :
Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Store at 2-8ºC for one month. Aliquot and store at -80ºC for 12 months. Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
tested application :
Positive Control, Immunogen, SDS-PAGE, WB. (May be suitable for use in other assays to be determined by the end user.)

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. They recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity. The various TLRs exhibit different patterns of expression. This gene is predominantly expressed in lung and peripheral blood leukocytes, and lies in close proximity to another family member, TLR7, on chromosome X. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
TLR8: Key component of innate and adaptive immunity. TLRs (Toll-like receptors) control host immune response against pathogens through recognition of molecular patterns specific to microorganisms. Acts via MYD88 and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. Belongs to the Toll-like receptor family. Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, misc. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xp22. Cellular Component: Golgi membrane; endoplasmic reticulum membrane; integral to membrane; endosome membrane. Molecular Function: single-stranded RNA binding; DNA binding; RNA binding; double-stranded RNA binding; drug binding; receptor activity. Biological Process: I-kappaB kinase/NF-kappaB cascade; regulation of cytokine secretion; response to virus; microglial cell activation; positive regulation of interleukin-8 biosynthetic process; positive regulation of interferon-alpha biosynthetic process; toll-like receptor 8 signaling pathway; MyD88-dependent toll-like receptor signaling pathway; positive regulation of interferon-beta biosynthetic process; positive regulation of innate immune response; toll-like receptor signaling pathway; innate immune response; immunoglobulin mediated immune response; toll-like receptor 9 signaling pathway; inflammatory response; defense response to virus; positive regulation of interferon-gamma biosynthetic process
