app notes :
The antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:1,000 ~ 2,000. Recommended starting dilution is 1:1,000.
other info1 :
Antigen Species: Human. Clone: Anti-human Hsp105 alpha mAb, clone J1G12, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human Hsp105 alpha protein. Immunogen: Recombinant human Hsp105 alpha (1-858aa) purified from E Coli
products categories :
Heat Shock Proteins
products description :
Hsp105 is a mammalian member of the HSP105/110 family, a diverged subgroup of the HSP70 family. HSP105 exists as two isoforms, alpha and beta. Hsp105 alpha associates with Hsp70/Hsc70 as complexes in vivo and regulates the chaperone activity of Hsp70/Hsc70 negatively in vitro and in vivo. Hsp105 alpha is constitutively expressed and also induced by various stress, whereas Hsp105beta, lacking 44 amino acids from Hsp105 alpha, is specifically expressed during mild heat shock. Although Hsp105 alpha is shown to localize in the cytoplasm of mammalian cells, cellular localization of Hsp105beta is not known

uniprot summary :
HSP105: a molecular chaperone of the heat shock protein 70 family. Has ATPase activity. Expressed at especially high levels in mammalian brain and has been shown to suppress apoptosis in neuronal cells and to prevent the aggregation of proteins following heat shock. Known to interact with a variety of proteins including alpha-tubulin and the androgen receptor. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described. Protein type: Heat shock protein; Chaperone. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 13q12.3. Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; microtubule; cytoplasm; extracellular region; cytosol. Molecular Function: protein binding; ATP binding; alpha-tubulin binding. Biological Process: receptor-mediated endocytosis; positive regulation of NK T cell activation; chaperone cofactor-dependent protein folding; positive regulation of MHC class I biosynthetic process; response to unfolded protein
