products description :
Nuclear factor kappa B (NF- kappa B) is a ubiquitous transcription factor and key mediator of gene expression during immune and inflammatory responses. NF- kappa B activates numerous genes in response to extracellular stimuli, such as IL-1, TNF alpha , and LPS. NF- kappa B is associated with I kappa B in cytoplasm, which inhibits NF- kappa B activity. I kappa B is phos-phorylated by the I kappa B kinase (IKK) complex which contains IKK alpha , IKK beta , and IKK gamma . A novel molecule in the IKK complex, designated IKK epsilon , is required for the activation of NF- kappa B by PMA and T cell receptors but not TNF alpha and IL-1. IKK epsilon is expressed in a variety of tissues and is inducible by TNF alpha , IL-1, and LPS.
