Anti-IKK gamma (NT) [Rabbit antibody to peptide corresponding to aa 705-716 at the C-terminus of human IKKg.]. This antibody recognizes human, mouse, and rat IKK gamma (52 kD). No cross-reactivity with IKK alpha , IKK beta or IKK epsilon .

100 ug IgG in 200 ul PBS, pH 7.4, purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.

This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -20 degree C. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Immunoblot

Immunoblotting: use at 1:500-1:1,000 dilution. Positive control: Whole cell lysate from HeLa cells.

Antigen: Peptide corresponding to aa 400-416 of human IKK gamma . This sequence is identical to that of mouse.

Stabilizer: None. Preservatives: 0.02% sodium azide. Dilutions Instructions: Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.

Nuclear factor kappa B (NF- kappa B) is a ubiquitous transcription factor and key mediator of gene expression during immune and inflammatory responses. NF- kappa B activates numerous genes in response to extracellular stimuli, such as IL-1, TNF alpha , and LPS. NF- kappa B is associated with I kappa B in cytoplasm, which inhibits NF- kappa B activity. I kappa B is phos-phorylated by the I kappa B kinase (IKK) complex which contains IKK alpha , IKK beta , and IKK epsilon . A novel molecule in the IKK complex, designated IKK gamma , interacts with IKK beta and is required for the activation of IKK complex and NF- kappa B by LPS, PMA, TNF, and IL-1. IKK gamma also binds to RIP and NIK and mediates TNF-induced NF- kappa B activation.
